Burke is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Manager at the Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, Texas. This position is responsible for the management and organization of support staff and general office operations within the clinic setting.

General Description

The Administrative Manager oversees clinical records management, fee collection systems, preparation and maintenance of clinical databases, requisition of supplies, and coordination of mail flow. This position provides monthly and quarterly reports and audits as requested by the Service Director and serves as the Designated Records Monitor (DRM).

The Administrative Manager must maintain effective working relationships with consumers, outside agencies, clinical staff, and support staff to ensure compliance with clinical standards. Strong organizational, communication, database, word processing, and telephone skills are essential.

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Human Services, or related field.

Experience

Required:

  • Three (3) years of experience in a medical office, mental health-related setting, or business office.

Preferred:

  • Two (2) years of leadership and management experience in a medical office, mental health-related setting, or business office.

Licenses/Certifications

Required:

  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Must have a driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator

Special Requirements

  • Professional interaction with adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Defensive driving training required

Physical Requirements

  • Visual and auditory skills necessary for telephone, receptionist, and transcription duties
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fine motor skills required for legible handwriting and typing

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
    Generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Occasional after-hours work may be required
