Application Support Analyst

Location: Chief Operating Administration – Lufkin/Nacogdoches, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (occasional after-hours work may be required)
Salary: Based on qualifications and experience | Travel reimbursement provided

Position Overview

Burke is seeking an Application Support Analyst to support agency-wide programs and play a key role in the reporting, functionality, and implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This position will help develop dashboards and reports, improve data integrity, assist with EHR upgrades and new system implementation, and train staff on system use.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical work, problem-solving, system design, and creating meaningful data visualizations that drive organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
  • Support the utilization management team in defining and updating reporting requirements
  • Contribute to data integrity and normalization initiatives
  • Assess, test, and implement new or upgraded software systems
  • Assist with strategic decisions regarding system updates and new technologies
  • Evaluate changes and updates to production systems
  • Generate reports from multiple data systems
  • Troubleshoot reporting databases and report issues
  • Train end users on new EHR features, dashboards, and reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred: Coursework or training in Microsoft Power BI or similar dashboard tools

Experience

  • Required:
    • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboard software
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Proven analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present large amounts of data with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Preferred:
    • Demonstrated initiative and innovation in previous roles
    • Experience with SQL or other database query languages

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, drive, and perform hand/finger movements for extended periods
  • Driving record must be insurable by Burke’s insurance administrator
