Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.) | 7 shifts every 14 days (80 hours) | Rotating weekends & holidays
Salary: $43,920-$45,355 annually (based on qualifications and experience)
Burke is seeking a Crisis Mental Health Clinician to provide direct rehabilitative services to adults at the Mental Health Emergency Center, a 24/7 crisis stabilization program. This role plays a critical part in coordinating crisis response calls, dispatching assessors, conducting assessments, and supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong documentation skills, organization, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Primary responsibility is to answer crisis calls and dispatch assessors
Conduct mental health and admission assessments
Provide individual and group rehabilitative services
Monitor client safety within crisis programs
Deliver services according to approved treatment plans
Ensure compliance with Burke and Medicaid standards
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Director
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields (must meet QMHP requirements):
Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Human Growth & Development, Rehabilitation, Registered Nursing, Physician Assistant, Gerontology, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Education/Intervention, or another qualifying Human Services discipline.
Preferred: Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Six (6) months of full-time direct care experience working with adults in a behavioral health or mental health setting
Required: Valid Texas driver's license
Must maintain a driving record insurable under Burke's insurance administrator
Must have reliable personal transportation and travel routinely within the service area
Must complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training
Ability to see, hear, speak, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and drive regularly
Hand and finger dexterity for documentation and daily tasks
