General Description

The PT Cottage Supervisor is responsible for the operation of Lotus Lane Cottages.  This position acts as a property manager for this facility. Property management responsibilities include tracking and collecting rent, reporting maintenance issues, completing maintenance work when needed, coordinating property issues with contractors, supervising resident workers, and monitoring contracting services. Examples of maintenance include replacing doorknobs, dead bolts, mailbox locks, repair door hinges, minor toilet repairs, etc.  The position will track lease dates and complete renewals, work closely with DETCOG on leases/fee structure, track rental cost changes.  The position will maintain a waiting list and rental structure system. The position requires someone who is highly disciplined, able to work very independently, flexible, and has excellent time management skills.  This position reports to the Chief Clinical Officer. 

Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in the Human Service field.

Experience

Preferred: Experience in running housing systems and completing minor maintenance tasks.  Experience with supported housing programs. 

Preferred: Six (6) months' direct care experience working with adults in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting. 

Licenses/Certifications

Required: Valid Texas driver's license in good standing. 

Special Requests or Comments

Required: Must be physically able to complete Satori Alternative to Managing Aggressive Behavior (SAMA), CPR, and First Aid training modules. Must have a driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator.  Must be physically able to do some minor maintenance work. 

Physical Requirements

Required: Sight, hearing, talking, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walking, driving a vehicle, and hand/finger dexterity.

Hours

Monday - Friday; 25 to 30 hours per week; Generally, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

After-hours may be necessary in certain situations (i.e. after-hours maintenance issues)   

Salary

$17.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
