Burke is seeking a Part-Time Residential Assistant (RA) to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential group home setting. Residential Assistants help promote independence, safety, and quality of life by supporting daily living activities, implementing active treatment plans, and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and home-like environment.
This role involves hands-on care, collaboration with program staff, and consistent documentation to support person-centered services and compliance with Life Safety and Health standards.
Supervise and assist residents with day-to-day living activities
Provide and support active treatment training as scheduled
Promote a safe, clean, and supportive group home environment
Work collaboratively with other professionals and program staff
Ensure compliance with Life Safety and Health standards
Complete daily documentation, including active treatment data, activity notes, medication inventory records, and progress reports
Complete additional documentation as required
Education
Required: High school diploma or GED
Experience
Preferred: Six (6) months of experience working in a direct care role
Valid Texas driver's license with an insurable driving record
Ability to complete all required training (SAMA, CPR/First Aid, Defensive & Van Driving, and employee training modules)
Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk and drive a vehicle
Hand and finger dexterity for routine tasks
