Schedule: Monday-Friday | Up to 29 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $11.50 per hour

Position Overview

Burke is seeking a dependable Part-Time Support Staff member to provide administrative and front-office support at the Nacogdoches Mental Health Clinic. This role supports daily clinic operations by assisting with reception coverage, scheduling, documentation, billing coordination, and communication with clients, staff, and insurance providers. The position reports directly to the Administrative Manager and requires strong organization, communication, and confidentiality practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete fee contracts and assist with fee collection

  • Communicate with insurance companies and financial services regarding service authorizations

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

  • Answer and manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system

  • Provide coverage for the reception area as needed

  • Schedule and maintain appointments for physicians, therapists, and clinical staff

  • Perform data entry, record keeping, and filing

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency policies

  • Support clinic operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Required: One (1) year of clerical experience with working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Word

  • Preferred: Three (3) or more years of clerical experience in a medical or mental health setting, including billing and insurance processes

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Valid Texas driver's license

  • Driving record must be insurable under Burke's insurance administrator

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Visual and auditory skills sufficient for computer use and phone communication

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to walk, drive, and perform hand/finger dexterity tasks
