Compensation: $11.50 per hour

Position Overview

Burke is seeking a Part-Time Support Staff member to assist with the daily operations of the Angelina Mental Health Clinic outpatient services. This role supports clinic efficiency and medication-related processes while interacting regularly with staff, consumers, and community agencies.

The Support Staff position plays an important role in managing medication inventory, assisting with prescription processes, and providing clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight and implementation of indigent medication programs

  • Gather and process information for prescription refills

  • Catalog and maintain inventory of sample medications

  • Dispense medications in accordance with clinic procedures

  • Provide medication-related support and problem-solving

  • Answer multi-line phone system and assist callers professionally

  • Complete filing and general clerical duties

  • Support overall clinic operations and service expansion efforts

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education
Required: High school diploma or GED.

Experience
Required: Six (6) months of responsible clerical experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience operating a multi-line telephone system.

Preferred: Six (6) months of clerical or direct care experience in a mental healthcare or medical setting. Experience with Patient Assistance Programs (PAP), medication management processes, and medical terminology is preferred.

Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Licenses & Additional Requirements

  • Valid Texas driver's license with an insurable driving record

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively with staff and consumers

  • Ability to type and use a computer efficiently

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds

  • Fine motor skills for legible writing and documentation tasks
