General Description
This position supports the daily operations of the outpatient mental health clinic and assists with the expansion of services provided by Burke. The Support Staff employee works closely with clinic staff, consumers, and external agencies to help coordinate and monitor client services and individual needs.
Responsibilities include assisting with the oversight and implementation of indigent medication programs; coordinating and tracking lab work; collecting information for prescription refills; faxing prescriptions to multiple pharmacies; cataloging sample medications; maintaining inventory of medical supplies; answering phones; filing; problem-solving; and performing other nursing support duties. This position will also assist with limited direct care duties, such as taking vital signs.
Education
Required: Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Experience
Preferred: Two (2) years of clerical experience, including strong receptionist and computer skills.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Valid Texas driver's license. Must maintain a driving record insurable through Burke's insurance administrator.
Physical Requirements
Required: Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively; walk; lift up to 50 pounds; sit and stand for extended periods; bend or kneel; operate a vehicle; and perform tasks requiring hand and finger dexterity.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Salary
$28,329 annually
