About the Role

Burke is seeking a detail-oriented Support Staff member to assist with front office operations at the Nacogdoches Mental Health Clinic. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent customer service to clients, and supporting clinical staff.

This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare administration, medical office operations, or behavioral health services.

What You'll Do

  • Greet clients and visitors and provide front desk support
  • Answer and manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system
  • Schedule and maintain appointments for physicians, therapists, and clinical staff
  • Complete fee contracts and collect payments
  • Communicate with insurance providers for service authorizations
  • Maintain accurate records, data entry, and filing
  • Assist with coverage of reception area as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality in compliance with agency policies

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of clerical experience in a medical or mental health setting
  • Experience with billing, insurance verification, and medical office procedures

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Occasional after-hours work may be required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $28,329 annually

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Walking, driving, and hand/finger dexterity for computer work
  • Visual, hearing, and verbal communication abilities
  • Insurable driving record required
