Location: West Bay Group Home - Jasper, TX

Compensation: $13.80 per hour

Position Overview

Burke is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Residential Assistant (RA) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. The RA plays a key role in providing daily supervision, active treatment support, and maintaining a safe, clean, and home-like environment while working collaboratively with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist residents with daily living activities

  • Provide active treatment training and support as scheduled

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and home-like living environment

  • Ensure the group home meets Life Safety and Health standards

  • Complete required documentation, including activity notes, medication inventory records, active treatment documentation, and progress reports

  • Collaborate with program staff and other professionals

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Preferred: Six (6) months of experience working in a direct care role

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Valid Texas driver's license

Special Requirements

  • Ability to complete required training, including SAMA, CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and other assigned modules

  • Driving record must be insurable under Burke's insurance administrator

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to see, hear, speak, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to drive a vehicle

  • Hand and finger dexterity for documentation and daily tasks
