Part - Time Residential Assistant

Compensation: $13.80 per hour

About the Role
The Part-Time Residential Assistant (RA) provides training, care, and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in an ICF/IDD group home setting. This position helps create a safe, positive, and home-like environment while supporting individuals with day-to-day living activities.
The Residential Assistant works closely with other professionals, completes required documentation, and assists with maintaining the group home and supporting the needs of the individuals who live there.
What You'll Do
- Provide training, supervision, and support with day-to-day living activities.
- Promote a positive, safe, and home-like environment.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals supporting individuals in the home.
- Complete routine documentation and maintain detailed, accurate records.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the group home.
- Provide consistent and dependable support to individuals receiving services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What You Need
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Driving record that meets Burke's insurance requirements.
- Ability to appropriately document services and maintain detailed records.
- Ability to successfully complete required training, including Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA), CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and required training modules.
Preferred
- Six (6) months of experience working with individuals in a direct care role.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sight, hearing, talking, walking, driving a vehicle, and sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform job duties. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
