Support the Front Line of Mental Health Services

Burke is seeking a reliable and organized Support Staff member to join our Polk Mental Health Clinic. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service while supporting clinical operations.

The Support Staff position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient day-to-day clinic functions. This includes interacting with consumers, visitors, and staff while managing administrative and operational responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phones and assist consumers and visitors
• Distribute and route incoming and outgoing mail
• Collect fees and perform accurate data entry
• Process records requests and scan documents into electronic charts
• Schedule appointments and provide support to clinical staff
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical support environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid Texas driver's license with an insurable driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
• Walking, bending, and kneeling as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity for data entry and office tasks
• Ability to drive as required for job duties
