Position Overview

Burke is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Support Staff member to join our Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, TX. This role serves as a key point of contact for consumers, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality while supporting clinical and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately
  • Provide information and respond to inquiries regarding Burke services
  • Deliver excellent customer service with professional phone and in-person communication
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with agency policies
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Process, scan, and organize documentation
  • Assist with office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and vehicles
  • Support the Administrative Manager with data collection and report preparation
  • Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of consecutive general office or receptionist experience
  • Basic computer proficiency

Licensure:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of receptionist or office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Some college coursework in Human Services or a related field
  • Experience in a medical or mental health setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medication management
  • Bilingual skills (strongly preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs (charts, supplies, equipment)
  • Sufficient visual and auditory skills for communication and computer use
  • Fine motor skills for typing and written documentation

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation

  • $28,329 annually
