About the Role

Burke is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Support Staff team member to join the Polk Mental Health Clinic in Livingston. This position provides front-office and administrative support while interacting daily with consumers, visitors, clinical staff, and other Burke employees.

The Support Staff position helps maintain efficient clinic operations through scheduling, data entry, document management, fee collection, and general administrative support. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

What You'll Do

  • Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system.
  • Greet and assist consumers, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collect fees and process payments.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Process requests for records and documentation.
  • Scan and upload documents into electronic charts.
  • Assist clinical staff with administrative support tasks.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
  • Perform general office duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidential information in accordance with Burke policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
  • Driving record that meets Burke's insurance requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service to consumers, visitors, and staff.

Preferred

  • One (1) year of office or administrative experience.
  • Experience working in a medical, behavioral health, or related healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Windows-based systems.
  • Experience using electronic records systems.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience with office equipment, scheduling, and general office procedures.

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively using visual, auditory, and verbal skills.
