Compensation: $17.00 per hour
About the Role
Burke is seeking a dedicated and organized Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Cunningham Group Home in Lufkin, TX. This position is responsible for ensuring the home operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their highest level of independence.
As the Home Manager, you'll provide leadership to residential staff, coordinate services, oversee documentation and compliance, and help create a safe, supportive, and person-centered living environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about serving others, enjoys leading a team, and is committed to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the daily operations of the group home to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Support individuals in achieving independence through individualized care, training, and active treatment
- Develop, implement, and monitor Person Directed Plans and treatment strategies
- Review documentation, monitor active treatment progress, and ensure quality service delivery
- Train, coach, and support residential staff
- Assist with staff scheduling, recruitment, and timekeeping
- Coordinate and ensure completion of required employee training
- Maintain the group home, agency vehicles, and compliance with Life Safety and Health Standards
- Manage reports, documentation, and confidential records
- Assist individuals with personal finances and maintain accurate financial records
- Communicate effectively with individuals served, families, medical providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide transportation for individuals as needed
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of six (6) months of continuous direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license required

- One (1) or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Clerical or administrative experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general computer applications
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff

Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Schedule may vary based on program and consumer needs
- Must be available to work any shift during emergency situations
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Texas driver's license required
- Driving record must be insurable by Burke's insurance administrator
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, and drive for extended periods
- Ability to perform tasks requiring hand and finger dexterity
