Compensation: $50,074 annually (working toward licensure | $61,285 annually (fully licensed)  

About the Role

Burke is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, TX. This position provides direct clinical services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families through individual and group therapy in a community mental health setting.

As a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you'll provide comprehensive behavioral health services, complete diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and support individuals on their path to recovery. This role also offers opportunities to mentor staff, participate in clinical leadership activities, and collaborate with experienced behavioral health professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Provide individual and group therapy to adults, children, adolescents, and families
  • Complete diagnostic evaluations and comprehensive treatment plans
  • Conduct emergency and mental health assessments as needed
  • Monitor clinical admission and discharge criteria
  • Authorize and oversee intervention and case management services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate care
  • Assist Clinical Coordinators with clinical service delivery
  • Conduct training sessions and provide clinical consultation when needed
  • Provide contract therapy services as assigned
  • Review and analyze clinical reports and documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Coordinator or Service Director

Education & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, recovery-oriented behavioral healthcare
  • Valid Texas driver's license required

What Helps You Stand Out

  • One (1) year of full-time direct care experience working with adults, children, adolescents, or families in a community mental health or medical setting
  • Fully licensed as one of the following in Texas:
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Experience providing evidence-based behavioral health interventions

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • Generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • After-hours work may be required based on program needs

Licenses & Certifications

Required:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC Associate), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT Associate), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) actively working toward clinical licensure in Texas
  • Candidates awaiting licensure eligibility while obtaining required supervision are also encouraged to apply
  • Valid Texas driver's license

Preferred:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and/or EMDR
  • Must successfully complete:
    • Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA)
    • CPR
    • First Aid
  • Driving record must be insurable by Burke's insurance administrator

Physical Requirements
