Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. | Emergency services participation per policy

Position Overview

Burke is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant to join our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic team. In this role, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide medication management, and deliver high-quality clinical care to consumers in an outpatient setting. You will also serve as a collaborator and consultant to team members and service providers.

While onsite work is preferred, Tele-Medicine applicants will also be considered. Burke provides physician supervision and malpractice insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments
  • Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
  • Provide clinical consultation and support to interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with staff and service providers
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to meet consumer needs

Education Requirements

Required: Completion of an accredited program in your specialty area

Licenses & Certifications

Required:

  • Texas licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
  • APRN: Certification in Psychiatry/Mental Health
  • PA: Certification in Psychiatry/Mental Health
  • Valid Texas driver's license. Applicants must have a driving record that is insurable by Burke's insurance carrier.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

  • Use visual and auditory skills to evaluate and monitor patients
  • Bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. while assisting patients
  • Complete SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggressive Behavior) training
  • Perform fine motor tasks such as handwriting, typing, and driving
