Schedule: Monday-Friday | 29 hours or less per week
Compensation: $27.50 per hour
Burke is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing services to adult and adolescent patients in outpatient mental health clinics. This role supports clinical operations by delivering direct nursing care, coordinating medication-related services, and assisting with telemedicine and patient education.
The Part-Time LVN works under the direction of the Nurse Extender and plays an essential role in supporting patient care, safety, and continuity of services across Burke outpatient locations.
- Provide nursing services to adult and adolescent patients in outpatient mental health clinics
- Administer injections and complete nursing assessments
- Complete medication consents and refill prescriptions
- Manage prior authorizations and oversee the indigent medication program
- Respond to patient phone inquiries related to medications and care
- Operate telemedicine equipment as needed
- Maintain medication inventory and documentation
- Provide patient education and support
- Coordinate pharmaceutical representative visits
- Travel to satellite clinics within Burke's 11-county service area as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Preferred: Minimum of six (6) months of nursing experience in a medical or mental health setting
- Required: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing
- Required: Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to successfully complete Satori Alternative to Managing Aggressive Behavior (SAMA), CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training
- Driving record must be insurable under Burke's insurance administrator
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to see, hear, speak, walk, bend, kneel, and use hand/finger dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
